Villa Sjötorp

Villa Sjötorp is located by Ljungskile at the Swedish West Coast. The house itself is a one of a kind sort of house from 1901! It’s a hotel with a nice luxury bohemian feeling to it, just what my brother always tell me that I have🤪Anyway I couldn’t be more happy staying here! All the rooms look totally different from each other and mine was a pretty dreamish room at the first floor, called the green room. The house was built by Emil Haeger, and he didn’t have any drawings when he built it. And because of it’s sturdy construction, and lack of drawings it is possible to rebuild it. And that is part of the charm!

The breakfast is amazing, and a lot of the food is locally produced. And for me that is very important! And as always with a lot of food that is local. It is often organic, but without these expensive labels..

Sitting here looking out over the water is fantastic! It is so peaceful!

Patrick Strömvall is running the kitchen, and he is a very creative chef! (That actually is a hotel manager!) He really knows how to compose the most fantastic flavors and textures! The food is absolutely amazing! He is also trying to use as much locally produced food as possible, and is working closely with the farmers and producers.

Ellika is running the place, and she is a shining star that knows everything about this place. Her great grand father was the man that built it!

This group was such a great gang! Thanks for a fab trip! Do take me upon the Swedish cooking!

  1. I think I shall select this place to visit for a rendezvous with traditional and authentic Swedish culture.. It seems quite quaint, far off from the hustle bustle of cities, and exceedingly beautiful.. 🙂

Hej, tack för att du läste! /Malin
