Halloumi and red lentils recipe

This is a really nice halloumi stew with red lentils. I used a Swedish halloumi and one Akkawi. Akkawi is very similar to halloumi, and it origintates from Palestine. It takes about 30 minutes to cook the stew, and you can eat it like it is or serve with some rice and a salad.

  1. Being vegetarian, halloumi and red lentils are two of my favourite ingredients. Never thought about combining them together! Thanks for the recipe and have a good weekend 😊 Aiva

    1. Halloumi is a cypriotic semi-hard, unripened, brined cheese made from a mixture of goat’s and sheep’s milk.(and sometimes milk)
Akkawi is the same, except from Palestine and a bit more creamy..
Both are perfect to put on the barbecue!
