Rosetta Bakery

This is an awesome Italian bakery with several locations in Miami.

The pastry is made the real way, and tastes totally divine. Real berries, good custard, and yes I have to say that I’m hooked. And working for a food magazine that is not often it happens. Rosetta will be a place I always will visit when I’m in Miami.

Vizcaya

I first learned about the palace during the hurricane Irma. I saw some pictures of things floating around inside the palace. And I promised myself to go there, if it didn’t get totally ruined during the hurricane. So I went there some days ago.  And wow, what a fascinating and beautiful place. And mega grand! They started to build the palace in 1914, and the owner James Deering only got to live there for 9 Years before he died. And nowadays it is a popular venue for weddings, and lots of tourists visit every day.

Biking around the island

We biked for 5 hours, and we went through the ”Ding” Darling Wildlife refuge, had coffee at Bailey’s and bought some lunch there. And ended up at Bowman’s beach. The beach, and the sea was amazing.

We biked through the Rabbit Road on the way back, a bit exciting as there were sign’s warning for alligators.. I didn’t see anyone, but Fabian did. I saw a turtle;) wich I feel is more my thing. And I’ve seen enough alligators in Florida anyway.

Hard Rock at Universal

So we stayed at Hard Rock. It was a really great place! They had thought about every detail here. And I’m used to nice Asian hotels. The only downer at our room was that there were no light in the ceiling, so it was very cosy all the time. Wich is ok most of the time. We had a nice dinner at the Kitchen at the hotel. I had the Chinese crispy chicken sallad. It was really good! And the breakfast was fantastic! And when you stay at Hard Rock, then a express card is included.
