In the outskirts of Shanghai I have a friend, the old man in Pudong;) He has this big warehouse filled with ”antiques” Some old, some new. And opposite him there is this wood carver who makes these beautiful buddhas among other things. And I really like this one, it is so welcoming sitting on an old stool from a old house in Shanghai. During the two times I lived in Shanghai I might have picked up a few buddhas..
My friend brought all the ingredients to make a cake today! Because it was Emma’s nameday, and both our daughters are named Emma.
So a meringue base, whipped cream mixed with greek yoghurt, vanilla and raspberry inside, topped with whisked cream and strawberries. And some crushed dry roasted almonds.
My friend who is the the chief editor at Gourmet in Sweden was visiting. So we and some other friends had a fab lunch at Daniel Berlin in Skåne-Tranås.
A 14 course lunch, where I just loved all the food except the ducks liver. But that is because I don’t like liver, not even at Daniel Berlin.
Just saying, if you are in the southern part of Sweden. Book a table!!
So the 2nd time I lived in Shanghai I went to one of my favourite shops (Simply Living) to order a BIG cupboard that could hold everything my husband thinks that we don’t need.
This was the biggest size he could make. It’s like an old bedding cupboard, except that I have twice as many shelfs for all my plates and saucers;)
So I decided to blog again. This time about the life as a silver smith outside Stockholm.
No more crazy brunches in Shanghai, except when I visit my old neighbour hood there;) It will be a lot of interior design, updates from my studio, and food.
And to see my jewellery; http://www.bymalin.shop
