Is a real chinese restaurant in Stockholm. After 7 years in China, I like to get some good chinese food every now and then. And I’m really happy when I don’t have to cook it myself.
At China they even have a Beijing duck owen, I haven’t tried it jet, but everyone that has say’s that it is great. But what I do know is that they have a superb false Beijing duck. What is that you might think, it is shredded pork with spring onions and bean sauce. It reminds you of Beijing duck, and the same sauce is used. And you eat it with bread. The story goes that a grand father couldn’t afford to cook Beijing duck for his son, so he made it with pork instead. And when the grandson grew up to become a chef he was served the real stuff and then got the story behind it from his grand father.
They serve food from different parts of China, and it’s all really good!
I can totally recommend this place!

We were invited for a Chinese New Year dinner today. And Teresa had cooked so much food. And it all tasted fantastic!
And the year of the dog will hopefully be a good one, because we had so much lucky food.
The fish for prosperity
The lion’s head refers to the meatballs and the cabbage represents the mane. A lion represents strength and the roundness of the meatball represents family, togetherness
Spring rolls are meant to symbolize bars of gold, and bring wealth and prosperity in the year to come.
And there were more..
I think it’s been there forever at Dong Hu Lu. Spicy in a nice way, some a bit to much for me. I meet up there with some friends for a nice evening. We started of with Basil Drops (a drink) Wich is a must when you are here… And then we ordered so much food.
The name is very misleading. The market is full of interior design, art, plants, seasonal ornaments, Tea… The list is long. I for example have My favourite place for where I buy buddhas. But I actually just bought a stone fish this time. For our summer house. This is a more expensive market, because of its location. But it is so worth it.

The food you can find at the wet markets in Shanghai is great fun to try out. I promised my kids to bring them some off their favourites for this season. Pomelo is one of them. This wet market is located at Xinle – Donghu Lu.
I am slowly going through our attic, and today I found this old carpet. I had it dry cleaned before I put it there, so it was just to find a place for it.. It ended up in our main entrance. Looks good, isn’t it?..
