The number one restaurant at Bali! Luxury food to an affordable price and with a very laid back feeling in a fantastic setting. Well the restaurant seems to have it all, doesn’t it? It was a very excited me that went here to eat at my recent trip to Bali. I had tried Kevin Cherkas food during San Sebastian Gastronomika in the autumn so I had a little clue what I was up for when I was going here. And I was not disappointed.
We started with some cocktails in the outdoor bar. In the bottle a Tokyo Mojito with rum, fresh citrus, lemon basil and soda. And then a Ginger Tonic with a homemade lime soda, gin and ginger blossom nectar. Sipping at these I knew this was going to be one of these nights that you don’t forget!

There is 120 people working at Cuca, and most of the people working there are trained there. So it gives people an incredible opportunity to learn from scratch! They only use Indonesian produce, and I love that! Because Kevin gets the flavours of Indonesia to taste amazing. He told me that Westerners loves that the food is Indonesian, and the Indonesian customers loves that is has an Western touch. You can order several dishes from the menu, or go for the Chef Tasting Meal. I had that one, and then we ordered some extras so that we could try even more dishes.

The restaurant has won several prizes, and one of them is Asias Best Restaurant.
