I live on an island just outside Stockholm, Lidingö. And one of my favourite spots are this old house called Långängen where they serve a nice brunch and the nicest cakes. The building itself is from 1770. But the first house that was built there were around 1300’s.
For two weeks now has my son been having an internship there, and yesterday I finally had time to visit.

If you want a cozy restaurant this is the place. L’Avventura is located in an old cinema from the 1920s. The wall paintings and deco is all original by Nils Asplund, Jöns Thulin and Augusto Conte. The food is Italian, and if you go there you gotta get the fried truffle risotto bowls, and the stracciatella is amazing! And…. the truffle pasta, and…. we’ll go there and try it for yourself!
In the harbour of Kivik you find Buhres. It’s a combined restaurant and shop. And they also serve fast food fish on the outside of the restaurant.
A lunch where we talked about foraging and trends in the food world. Extremely interesting, and the food was amazing. It was some students from Grythyttan that cooked for us.
Foraging is searching for wild food resources. You should never take more than 20% of what you find, never pull up the roots, and make sure you know what you are picking!!
