Eataly

I went there to finally learn how to make pasta! We were a nice little group of people that actually learned how to do it! Amazing, never thought I would manage to;)

Our teacher, Roberto was a great and fun teacher at Eataly’s La Scuolo.

He had a great patience, and made the best sauce for the pasta! Because when you master the art of making pasta then you all have a nice lunch togerher!

So now I have been to one of their classes, and now I have to figure out which one I should go to next!

Shanti

Real Indian food in Stockholm?!?

Yes, Shanti has some locations. But my favourite is Shanti Classic. The chef is great, and so is the food. When you are eating Indian food, then you should order some different dishes to share. (According to the Indian way, and mine;)

There is some musts at this restaurant. The Palak Paneer is made by the chefs and it is so good! It is a indian cheese in sauce. Served with veggies and rice.

And of course some tandoori chicken or a Korma. And… Well the list is long, just order a bunch of food!

And have a beer with it.

Enjoy!

Sauces and rice. The key to the Indian food.

Baras Ställe

Yesterday I went to one of the most beautiful openings ever! The interior was smashing, and Alexander Erwik, the one that had planed the opening had done a grand job. And everywhere I looked there was something to take a picture off!

Me and Helene ❤️. Fab to have a night with a friend!

They had a whole buffet with food, and then some Santa candy;)

It’s all in the details

And Raven performed!

Over and out! Have a fun weekend wherever you are😘

Trying out some Sandeman port wine

I went for a lunch at Gondolen in Stockholm to try out some porto from Sandeman. And it was so interesting to have it matched with food. And their white port paired perfectly with the starters.

The Sandeman Fine White Port was a perfect match with the duck terrine, and the port wine tasted a bit of honey.
We had a delicious lamb paired with 2 vintage port wines.

Lamb with a chestnut mousse, mushrooms poached plums with port wine sauce and browned butter, paired with the most amazing Sandeman Spirit Vintage Port 2000 and a Sandeman Porto Vintage 2016. They were both really good, but my personal favourite was the 2000. It was the perfect match with the food. And I would like to just sit and sip on it slowly. It tasted a bit spicy, with a touch of red and dark fruits. A very pleasant flavour!

Luis Sottomayor from Sandeman talked very enthusiastic about their Port wines. And I learned a lot. Thank you‼️

Jazz au vin

Danyel Couet has a new concept every Thursday at his Bar Etable. Once a week they will have a live jazz band, serve wine from the big wine bottle and some food.

Relaxed, cosy and a very nice decadent feeling. bottles age more gracefully and just plain better, according to some experts, because they age at a slower pace

Every week there will be some different wine or champagne. And the bonus is that the bigger the bootle, the better the wine. Big bottles age more gracefully and just plain better, according to some experts, because they age at a slower pace.

And my friend Märit is an expert, and she gave her thumbs up!

Great concept Danyel!!

Ekstedt

Inviting at Ekstedts, a Swedish 1 star Michelin restaurant in Stockholm. I have to say, they are for sure worth the two stars. The food is exceptional! The flavours are surprising, and very well composed! And it is all beautifully presented on the plates!

Florencia is doing her magic with the presentation!

Ekstedt is a fine-dining restaurant where everything is cooked on fire!

It’s like being out in the nature, times 10!!

The kitchen is amazing, it’s small and what they create is super good! And I am used to good food. Trust me;)

Smoked!!

I just add lots of pictures, so that you can get the feeling;)

Almond cake with blueberries and apple!

Ok, the rest will come up on my instagram; @fabfoodieswede
