Villa Sjötorp is located by Ljungskile at the Swedish West Coast. The house itself is a one of a kind sort of house from 1901! It’s a hotel with a nice luxury bohemian feeling to it, just what my brother always tell me that I have🤪Anyway I couldn’t be more happy staying here! All the rooms look totally different from each other and mine was a pretty dreamish room at the first floor, called the green room. The house was built by Emil Haeger, and he didn’t have any drawings when he built it. And because of it’s sturdy construction, and lack of drawings it is possible to rebuild it. After a fantastic day I went to have some food. The food at Brygghuset in Fiskebäckskil is great. They are obviously as they are located by the sea serving really fresh seafood. As a starter we had a scallop with some truffle butter sauce, smoked pork and fried carrot.
And then a steamed bap bun with langoustine, chili mayo, pickled red onion, cucumber and roasted onion. Are you drooling jet?
Butter fried cod, ramson baked root fruits, shiitake, sauce with trout caviar, green pea cream and pickled beetroot.
Chocolate mousse, sorbet, meringues… And a Talisker coffee drink paired with that. Yum!
And lots of Talisker of course!

När jag hoppade av bussen här så var det som att vara med i en film om pittoreska Sverige. med ljudet av fiskmåsar i bakgrunden Fiskebäckskil är verkligen otroligt vackert och husen vetter mot vattnet. Jag checkade in på Slipens Hotell i ett rymligt rum i New England stil. Hotellet ligger precis vid hamnen, så det är verkligen enkelt att ta sig till restaurangen eller om man vill åka ut med en båt.
